Ahmed has a Masters Degree in Food Service Engineering & Management from Université Toulouse – Jean Jaurès, France. He is also certified by Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) for understanding & implementing HACCP and attended courses for HAS (Halal Assurance System). He has attended various specialized training courses related to his field in Germany, England and USA.
Ahmed has over 40 years of experience working in the hospitality industry in Europe, Africa and Asia. He specializes in institutional foodservice systems & equipment, commercial refrigeration, solid and liquid waste management systems. He is a stalwart of the foodservice industry, being a professional member of the Foodservice Consultants Society International for over 32 years. Ahmed is renowned for the design of the largest central food production facility in Asia at Resort World Genting with a production capacity of a staggering 44 Million meals per annum. Another notable project that Ahmed has helmed is the Charterfield/Eurest Malaysia Kitchens and 24 hour meal delivery service system for 16,000 meals per day for International Construction Workers dining, during the construction of brand new airport at Sepang. Besides the above, Ahmed has worked on the Central Kitchen at EON Pune (India) Kampung Kravers Food Production Plant (Malaysia), and Central Production Plant for PT Dapur Solo Mustika Nusantara, Jakarta, Indonesia.
